Gregory S. ConstabileGregory S. Costabile heads the Family Law, Municipal Law, and Mediation departments of Phillips Mille & Costabile.  He graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and he received his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1992.  Mr. Costabile has a diverse practice with an emphasis in family law issues, including but not limited to, divorce, dissolution, legal separation, child custody, visitation and support, business valuations, legal analysis and allocation of retirement and other financial accounts, pre-marital (ante nuptial) agreements, spousal support, tax issues, equitable allocation of assts and debts, issues involving children born out of wedlock, grandparent visitation rights, and complex litigation and appellate issues.  Mr. Costabile's practice also includes representation of clients with municipal law issues involving cities, villages, and townships, contract formation and enforcement, as well as, a variety of additional civil litigation matters.  As a Certified Mediator, Mr. Costabile is equipped with the training and ability to resolve a variety of disputes in a variety of areas in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Mr. Costabile is a member in good standing with the American, Ohio, and Cleveland Metropolitan bar associations.  He serves on the Legislative Drafting and Legislation Review Committees of the Ohio Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Center for Principled Family Advocacy where he is trained in Collaborative Law as well as Interdisciplinary Collaborative Law.  Mr. Costabile is an Ohio State Bar Association Board Certified Specialist in Family Relations Law.  Out of the nearly 40,000 attorneys in the State of Ohio, only approximately 100 are so certified and only approximately 20 in Northeast Ohio.  In 2005, Mr. Costabile was named an "Ohio Rising Star" by Law and Politics and Cincinnati Magazine.  In 2008, Mr. Costabile was inducted into the Mayfield High School Hall of Fame.

Mr. Costabile remains active and is very proud of his civic involvement where he continues to find ways to give back to the community.  He is a proud member of the Justinian Forum (Organization of Attorneys of Italian descent focusing efforts on legal, social and cultural issues affecting the legal profession and Italian-American community), Cleveland Marshall College of Law Alumni Association, Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Police Associates, Board of Trustees for Mayfield Business Community Alliance Foundation, Board of Trustees for Schnurmann House, St. Francis of Assisi School Advisory Committee, as well as a lector for St. Clare Parish. Mr. Costabile has served as the Assistant to the Law Director for the City of North Royalton from 1996-1997.  From 2000-2003, Mr. Costabile co-hosted a weekly Cleveland radio show with regard to legal and political issues.

Mr. Costabile is the Mayor and Safety Director for the City of Mayfield Heights, a part-time position.   He has held the position since January 1, 2006.  Prior to serving as the City's Mayor and Safety Director, he was a member of City Council from 1999 through 2005.  Mr. Costabile was Council President from 2002-2005.  He is currently a  member of the Northeast Ohio League of Leadership and Advocacy, the Northeast Ohio Mayors and City Managers Association, and the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers Association (Member of the Executive Committee).
